Go to EDIT from the main menu bar and choose PREFERENCES.
Click on the + next to Mail & Groups to access the sub-categories.
Now go to the Category marked Identity. Set the following:
Your Name = set this to
whatever you want to show up in outgoing email messages
Your email = your username
(ie howard@erienet.net)
Reply-to address = your
username (ie howard@erienet.net)
Organization = your
company name (if any, you can leave this blank)
Now go to the Category marked Mail Server. Set the following:
Mail server user name: your
username
Outgoing mail (SMTP) server:
mail.erienet.net
Incoming mail server: mail.erienet.net
Mail Server Type: POP3
Now go to the Category marked Groups Server. Set the following:
Discussion Groups (news)
server: news.erienet.net
Port: 119
The remaining settings are options based on personal preferences and should not be changed unless you fully understand their function(s).
