Erienet's Mail Program Configurations

Configuring Eudora

Technical information for Eudora can be found at http://www.eudora.com

Open Eudora, in the Menu bar at the top, click on Tools and then go to Options.

In the Options/Category window, scroll the left screen to the top and highlight Getting Started.

In the right window, your POP account is your username (ie howard@erienet.net)

You may enter your Real Name as normal.

Connection Method should be left unchecked.

In the left window, highlight Personal Information.

Your return address is your normal e-mail address- your username (ie howard@erienet.net)

In the left window, highlight Hosts.

The SMTP server should be set to "mail.erienet.net". The other two lines should be left blank.

In the left window, highlight Checking Mail.

Set Eudora to check mail at no less than every 10 minutes.

Authentication Style should be set to Passwords.

The remaining settings are options based on personal preferences and should not be changed unless you fully understand their function(s).
