Click on Tools and
select Email Accounts
Dot "Add a new e-mail
account"
Click Next
Dot ""IMAP"
Click Next
Fill in the following:
Your Name: (put in whatever name you want to appear in your outgoing
messages) e.g. Bob Smith
Email address: (username@erienet.net) e.g. howard@erienet.net
Incoming mail server (IMAP): erienet.net
Outgoing
mail server (SMTP): erienet.net
User Name: username e.g. howard
Password: enter your password here
Click the button "More Settings"
Click on the TAB at the top of the screen "Outgoing Server"
Check the box "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication"
Check the box "Use same settings as my incoming mail server"
Click on
the TAB at the top marked "Advanced"
In the box for Outgoing Mail, change the number to 587.
Click OK
Click Next
Click Finish
